We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our Engineering industry team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting, reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis. The candidate must have a strong background in cost accounting, including Bill of Materials, Labor and Overhead accounting, and Inventory Accounting. The candidate must have experience in managing a team and delivering high-quality results.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage the cost accounting team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
  • Analyze and report on product costs, including variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain standard costs for all products.
  • Partner with the operations team to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage the fixed assets accounting process.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Partner with the finance team to support ad-hoc analysis and special projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting, reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis.
  • Strong background in cost accounting, including Bill of Materials, Labor and Overhead accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
  • Experience managing a team and delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
