Must Have experience in Top Ten Public Accounting
CPA/CMA is highly preferred

Base Salary $115-135k Plus Bonus/Incentives.

This position will supervise a Team of 3 - Must have experience with Supervision
This position will also involve travel to HQ ONCE a QTR

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Controller in managing and overseeing all facets of our accounting operations, including the monthly close process, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
  • Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
  • Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with Big 4, CPA, Manufacturing, GAAP, Financial Reporting or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
