We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent CFO, with Franchise Accounting experience. The successful CFO candidate will be responsible for driving our financial strategy and planning. You will also take charge of developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational realms.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance and operations teams.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
- Handle IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition activites to ensure compliance with regulations
- Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
- Manage and oversee the financial activities of the organization including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Develop and monitor company's annual budget and forecasts, which shall include establishing budgetary controls and the ongoing evaluation of performance against budget.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
- Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting.
- Lead long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the strategic plan.
- Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
- Engage the finance committee of the board of directors to develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advise management of actions and potential risks.
- Arrange for audits of company's accounts.
- Manage relationships with partners/vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success.
- Experience in a senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
- Significant experience in franchise accounting REQUIRED.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the Office of Management and Budget Circular A133 audit.
- Experience working with IFRS 15 and Franchise Accounting
- Experience working with Information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
- Experience in a complex environment with multiple programs.
- Previous experience with franchise accounting, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, and public accounting is a must.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, corporate finance, compliance, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Ability to comply with regulations and tax laws, handle annual audits, and manage audit cycles.
- Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
- Skill in examining, developing, reengineering, and recommending financial policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
