Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and principles.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and monitor them regularly, alerting management to any discrepancies or areas of concern.
  • Create and present detailed financial statements that provide a clear understanding of the company's financial position.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes diligently and accurately.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all payments are accurate and timely.
  • Process bank payments, maintaining a consistent record of all transactions.
  • Maintain and update balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Audit financial transactions and documents, identifying and addressing any irregularities.
  • Enhance the company's financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the engineering industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
  • Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service orientation.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness, with a strong sense of accountability and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently but also collaboratively within a team.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
