Delivers daily execution in the AR/AP space, with some support for

improvements to a given process and/or project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess & Demonstrate end to end AR/AP knowledge.
  • Drive cluster/country Receivable/Payable metrics in conjunction with the cluster AR/AP supervisor/manager.
  • To assist in financial decision making on receivables/payables - driving customer behaviour.
  • Work closely with all process streams/stakeholders in exceeding all AR/AP metrics.
  • Where AR may include Incoming payment processing, On Account analysis, Payment application, Dispute follow up etc.
  • Where AP may include Bucket prioritisation, Incoming invoice.
  • processing, Field identification and updating of metadata, Master data cross reference, Payment.
  • Support AR/AP Team members (A2) and train/mentor them.

Required experience and skill:
  • Financial educational background as Intermediate - Cost Accountant, Intermediate Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree in Finance and Accounting and good understanding of control framework.
  • Minimum 8 years of qualification experience within cost controlling, cost accounting, P&L analysis etc
  • Self-motivated and continuously looks for opportunities to improve financial reporting and processes by exploring new approaches and ideas.
  • Excellent analytical and structured working method
  • Ability to handle phases with high workload and unplanned activities.
  • Team player - works together with others to achieve results Shipping/ Transportation industry experience would be an added advantage but not mandatory.
