Job Details:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Finance or Controller to join their executive leadership team. This is a full-time, permanent position that is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and profit and loss reporting. The Senior Director of Finance will have a proven track record in strategic and operational accounting and finance, following GAAP, in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership in financial decision-making, and support to organizational operations.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including US GAAP.
  • Lead the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Oversee the finance department's operations, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the company's ERP system, Great Plains.
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
  • Manage the process of accounts payable and payments for the holding company.
  • Provide expertise on lease accounting.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports for executive leadership.
  • Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.

Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the Value Added Reseller (VAR) industry or Professional Services.
  • Proven experience in public accounting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Great Plains or similar ERP systems.
  • Solid experience in managing and processing accounts payable and payments for holding companies.
  • Expertise in lease accounting.
  • Proven experience in executive leadership and managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) within a diverse entity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners.
  • Ability to translate financial concepts and effectively collaborate with colleagues who do not inherently understand finance.
  • Experience in a senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
