What we offer

The Centre of Excellence is part of Group Business Finance which is responsible for general accounting, business controlling, voyage controlling and technical business controlling. Group Business Finance is also responsible for financial systems and processes across the Group and the internal reporting to the business / divisions.

You will report to the Head of Group General Accounting and will be part of the Centre of Excellence Team.

The tasks of the Assistant Tax Controller will amongst other include:
  • Being a part of global tax team and work cohesively with the Global Head of Tax
  • Assisting in transfer pricing for the Group
  • Assisting with the master file for the Group
  • Assisting with country filing
  • Assisting with the Pillar 2 implementation across the Group
  • Reviewing and filing of tax returns across various territories
  • Maintaining the tax hygiene level across the Group
  • Reviewing deferred tax for Group entities
  • Being responsible for and work on automation and digitalization of tax reporting and compliance
  • Being a part of team responsible for reviewing tax SOX controls
  • Being responsible for VAT reporting for the Group as and when required
  • Ad-hoc activities within tax domain

The tasks of the Assistant Tax Controller with the Group General Accounting team include:
  • Support the Group General Accounting team with monthly and yearly financial closing
  • Ownership of chart of accounts for tax related GLs and other GLs as may be assigned from time-to-time
  • Participate in digitalization projects
  • Support and act as back-up for the Group General Accounting team
  • Perform and carry out financial audit for Group subsidiaries on a regular basis
  • Support other functional controllers as and when needed.

To succeed in the job

The ideal candidate is a highly dedicated and business-oriented person. You are a Chartered Accountant with exposure to tax compliance and have a keen eye on numbers.

Furthermore, we expect that you have/are:
  • Excellent knowledge of transfer pricing and global tax filings
  • Working knowledge of IFRS / Ind AS
  • Hands-on experience in taxation and global compliance
  • Worked on standard ERP viz. SAP, MS Dynamics
  • Proven functional leadership capabilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive with significant drive
  • Data-driven with strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
