Pay: $115 - $140k + bonus

Job Summary: As the Controller, you will oversee the company's finance and accounting functions including month-end close, WIP reporting and financial reporting. Responsible for overseeing accounting team procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulations and organization guidelines. This role will be to manage and develop the accounting team.
Requirements:
Responsibilities

Manage the month-end close process, including WIP analysis and reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, P&L analysis, and general ledger maintenance.

Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting, including weekly forecast and monthly management reporting.

Perform analytical reviews and P&L analysis to provide meaningful insights on operating performance.

Ensure timely preparation and review of all balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis according to standard closing process.

Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting team.

Backup for Sales Tax preparation/filing (multi-states).

Ensure proper revenue recognition is calculated through WIP reporting.

Prepare reporting package consisting of Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Supplemental Schedules, and reconciled WIP Report for Controller review.

Prepare and complete the annual financial statement audit for internal and external audit teams.

Manage quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting process as directed.

Ensure all accounting and financial activities follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with others in accounting and finance to support overall department goals and objectives.

Record several types of journal entries - accruing, reversing, reclassing, and adjusting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting.

CPA designation is required.

7 years of practical accounting experience with at least 3 years of Controller level experience.

Manage a minimum of $100M annual revenue.

Experience managing an accounting team.

Must be detail-oriented and analytical and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Construction/Solar industry experience is preferred with job cost / WIP reporting and analysis ability.

Advanced computer skills.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position is performed in a standard office environment

This position will operate more than 50% of the time in a stationary position

When not stationary, this person will need to move about the office environment to access filing cabinets, office machinery, printers, etc.
