Job Purpose: As the Controller, your job purpose is to oversee the company-wide accounting transactions, culminating with the financial statement monthly reporting.

Job Functions
  • Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results in a timely basis
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes as needed.
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software, as needed.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequenting including tax planning and compliance
  • Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
  • Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)
  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years' time spent as a Non-Profit Controller
