Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to our overall success and growth. Responsibilities: 1. Financial Reporting: • Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements. • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 2. Budgeting and Forecasting: • Collaborate on and support annual budgeting process. • Provide financial forecasts and analyses to support strategic decision-making. 3. Internal Controls: • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Conduct periodic reviews of financial procedures to identify and address potential issues. 4. Tax Compliance: • Oversee tax compliance and reporting. • Coordinate with external tax advisors as necessary. 5. Cash Management: • Manage cash flow and working capital to support operational needs. • Implement strategies to optimize financial resources. Qualifications: • Active CPA License: • Must hold a valid and active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. • Experience: • Experience with Sage (previously Peachtree) highly preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a financial leadership role. • Previous experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable. • Education: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. • Technical Skills: • Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Communication Skills: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
