Our client is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to help plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance. This position includes a highly competitive salary, bonus potential and benefits.

This role is responsible for a variety of financial leadership duties including: long-term fiscal planning, budget determination, staff management, analysis of financial trends, management of banking relationships and providing financial insights to senior leadership to help in making valuable organizational decisions.

Type: Direct hire, full-time

Job Duties:

Leadership and metric management of the controller and the indirect oversight of staff in the accounting and finance department.

Provide evaluation and advisement on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulations.

Lead the implementation of financial reporting to determine monthly and annual financial metrics.

Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets and financial trends.

Evaluation of potential acquisitions or mergers.

Optimize bank relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position and develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.

Provide advisement from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the organization may enter.

Manages and supports the preparation of the annual consolidated corporate audit and tax returns.

Ensure efficient capital expenditures and minimize taxes.

Requirements:

Proven success in top level financial leadership with a small to mid-size organization.

Experience in the distribution industry.

Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA is nice to have, but not a must.

A CPA is nice to have, but not a must.

Excellent communication and negotiations skills.
