Non-profit, multi-location mission-based senior living healthcare management company is seeking an experienced, high-energy Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will report to the CEO and is required to have financial leadership experience in the Senior Living Healthcare Industry, including knowledge of, and experience wit h Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. The Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the executive management team of this growing organization.

The CFO is responsible for directing the overall operation of the Finance Department, managing the overall reporting cycle including the development of the annual budget, preparation of internal and external financial reports and coordination of audits or reviews. The CFO is also responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business. The CFO must also possess a broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles, including development and monitoring of a system of internal controls. Candidates must possess strong financial and business acumen, strong accounting and analytical skills and have experience with accounting systems and implementation of new or upgraded systems.

The goal is to continuously improve systems, financial processes and drive increased operational efficiency and growth through financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
    • Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing performance and risks.
    • Supervise accounting staff
    • Provide financial leadership and manage professional relationships with banking partners, external accounting firms, and others, as appropriate.
    • Prepare/review monthly financial results and establishes annual budgets and medium and long-term forecasts.
    • Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income and expenses and cash flow based on past, present, and expected operations.
    • Create or approve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and expense reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records.
    • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial accounting closing process.
    • Develop and facilitate dashboard review of Key Performance Indicators across operating functions.
    • Prepare operating and cash flow budgets for the fiscal year and periodic longer-term financial forecasts.
    • Manage the development and monitoring of accounting/finance policies and procedures. Ensure policy compliance and serve as a resource providing department operating guidelines and policies. Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in accounting processes and procedures.
    • Manage cash flow reporting utilizing monitoring tools for success and taking corrective actions, when appropriate.
    • Present financial results to boards of directors and other key stakeholders.
