Notable international manufacturer adding an Assistant Controller!

Our client is seeking an engaging and experienced Assistant Controller to join their team in a manufacturing environment. As Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing various financial aspects, including inventory management, cost accounting, and engaging with department managers to ensure smooth financial operations. The right candidate would be considered succession planning with the future goals of the organization!

Assistant Controller's Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with department managers to analyze inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes.
  • Conduct cost accounting activities to accurately track manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Controller in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Preferred Qualifications of the Assistant Controller:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management and cost accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
    • SAP is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
