Our client, a leading manufacturing company, seeks an accomplished Controller to oversee financial operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Controller will play a pivotal role in steering the company's financial strategies and collaborating with department heads.

What the Controller Role Looks Like:
  • As Controller, lead the development and evaluation of short and long-term financial strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and forecasts as a core responsibility of the Controller role.
  • Direct all finance and accounting activities, leveraging the Controller's expertise.
  • Assess the financial impact of new initiatives and long-range plans as a primary function of the Controller's duties.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to executive management, a critical role for the Controller.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, central to the Controller's responsibilities.
  • Offer recommendations to enhance financial performance and identify growth opportunities, a key aspect of the Controller's role.
  • Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations, a crucial duty for the Controller.
  • Manage cash flows and maintain banking relationships, which falls under the purview of the Controller.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework, another essential responsibility for the Controller.
  • Oversee inventory costing and implement efficient inventory management practices, a task integral to the Controller's duties.

Do you Have What it Takes?
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, a prerequisite for the Controller position.
  • Preferred certifications: CPA, MBA, or CMA, enhancing the Controller's qualifications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for the Controller role.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and reporting, a core competency for the Controller.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively, a skill paramount for the Controller.
