We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller with a strong background in the manufacturing industry to join our company. As the Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing the organization's financial operations and providing strategic guidance to senior management. You will be responsible for managing the accounting department, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Provide timely and accurate financial information to senior management for decision-making purposes.
Accounting Operations: Manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to management based on financial performance.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets. Monitor budget performance throughout the year and provide variance analysis. Prepare regular forecasts to assist in business planning and decision-making.
Cost Analysis and Controls: Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to accurately track and analyze product costs, manufacturing overhead, and inventory valuation. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for improving operational efficiency and profitability.
Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements. Coordinate and manage external audits and provide support during audit processes. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting professional development and cross-training within the department.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and technological solutions to streamline workflows and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.

- Experience with cost accounting and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong business acumen and ability to provide strategic financial guidance.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data and present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
