Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Part-Time Mentorship Opportunity

Company Overview: We are a dynamic and rapidly growing manufacturing company seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a part-time basis. Our company is dedicated to innovation, excellence, and fostering a collaborative work environment. As we continue to expand, we recognize the need for a strategic financial leader to guide and mentor our talented Controller in understanding the intricacies of the CFO role.

Position Summary: We are looking for a seasoned CFO who can dedicate 8-10 hours per month to provide mentorship to our skilled Controller. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably within the manufacturing sector, and possess the ability to impart a comprehensive understanding of the "big picture" of financial management.

Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and guide the Controller to develop a holistic understanding of financial leadership within a manufacturing setting.
  • Provide strategic insights and advice on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of financial performance, offering constructive feedback and improvement recommendations.
  • Facilitate professional development for the Controller, preparing them for an eventual transition into the CFO role.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a successful CFO, preferably within a manufacturing company.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills with a track record of developing high-performing finance professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex financial concepts.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to overall business strategy.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles.
  • Availability for 8-10 hours per month for mentorship sessions.
