As the Assistant Controller with our client, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial direction of the organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will lead a team of skilled accountants and oversee critical financial processes, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for domestic and foreign manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop comprehensive financial plans aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including payroll accounting, accruals, and reconciliations, to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and assist with financial audits, providing support to auditors and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and optimize financial operations.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management, supporting decision-making and driving business performance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with some experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
