Role summary

The Finance Analyst is part of a small in-house financial control team responsible for AVEVA India's Hyderabad operations.

Core responsibilities of a Finance Analyst include assisting the Financial Controller with the Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes for Hyderabad location, supporting the business with purchase requisitions and purchase orders, and ensuring that purchase orders are processed in line with group policies and the dimensional structure. The role requires engagement with business functions and assisting the Financial Controller with the overall financial control of purchasing/ expense report and payment.

Good controllership at AVEVA means a focus on the accuracy of our data, thorough understanding of the balance sheet, adherence to internal controls, timely reporting of results to Group, and engagement with the wider Finance Operations team to continuously improve our processes and controls.

Purchase to Pay responsibilities
  • Review purchase requisitions in line with the procurement policy
  • Assist the local purchase requisitioners and managers with queries on requisitions
  • Act as the primary contact in the in-house finance team for the shared service centre to process non-standard P2P transactions / employee expense reports
  • Receiving Invoices from vendors, ensuring GR done on timely basis and scanning invoices to KL for processing
  • Approving vendor invoices in Oracle
  • Resolving escalated queries from vendors/ employees
  • Investigating financial queries arising from the process
  • Identify procurement items that should be capitalised
  • Ensuring physical verification of assets done on regular interval
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Group's reporting structures
  • Ensure that the accounting entries are appropriately classified in accordance with internal policy and nature of expenditure
  • Ensuring compliance with the Group's internal control framework and maintaining supporting documents to demonstrate that sufficient controls are in place.
  • Keep up to date with Oracle functionality and process updates
  • Custodian of records/ documents for future retrieval for statutory audit and scrutiny by Tax audit
  • Coordinating and submitting necessary paperwork for making foreign vendor payment and arranging Chartered Accountant Certificates in form 15CA/CB.
  • Ensure Vendor and their invoices are in compliance with SEZ requirements
  • Liasioning with Vendor for SEZ compliances

Other responsibilities
  • Support the India finance team with external audit queries/ Tax investigations, particularly around the P2P process
  • Assist with the administration of Corporate Cards for Hyderabad employees
  • Support India finance / tax team with other processes such as record keeping, data and document retrieval, liasioning with tax consultants/ tax office as required
  • Finance point of contract for Hyderabad business operations
  • Compiling data for SEZ compliances like Monthly progress report, Annual progress report, Investment report
  • Helping to ensure smooth movement of Man and Machine in and out of SEZ
  • Assisting Finance Controller and finance accountant in various SEZ compliances
  • Review employee car lease documents, related invoices, capitalisation / removal of leased cars.

Education Qualification:
  • Commerce graduate with 8 to 10 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial terms, concepts, and accounting principles.
