We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Financial Analyst to join our team at our facility in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Your Role:

Working under the guidance of the Plant Controller, the Associate Financial Analyst is an integral member of the plant finance and operations team providing accounting and financial control and reporting of the manufacturing facility. This position will interact with every facet of Operations, Engineering, Finance, Safety, Quality, and Inventory Control and is seen is a critical partner to the operations team. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist Plant Controller in coordinating and executing month-end close procedures ensuring accurate and timely recording of manufacturing cost and expense.
  • Provide month-end analytical support.
  • Assist Plant Controller in preparing monthly financial performance for submission to both Plant and Business Unit Leadership.
  • Aid Plant Controller efforts in maintaining internal controls.
  • Inventory control and analysis.
  • Create, modify, and analyze BOM's and routings as needed.
  • Assist in budget and forecast preparation.
  • Responsible for the accounting treatment of financial transactions.
  • Partner with Operations to help identify and implement cost savings initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating activities in preparation of periodic audits by external and internal entities.
  • Lead and participate in plant process improvement activities as needed.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field required.
  • 1-3 years of professional Accounting or Finance experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with large, automated financial systems such as SAP or JDE.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Exercise sound judgment with the ability to take calculated risks and make risk/return recommendations.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.

Icing on the Cake:

  • Completion or pursuit of Master or other advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA/CMA Certification.
  • Experience in the consumer product goods (CPG) industry.
