PATH is seeking a Finance Associate on Third Party Payroll- Randstad who will be responsible for PATH India. PATH began its work in India in the late 1990s, bringing governments, communities, private-sector companies, and experienced public health practitioners together to address some of the country's most crucial health problems. Today, PATH's India projects focus on TB/HIV, vaccines, nutrition, heath innovation, and more. PATH's India country program engages with various stakeholders and target groups for which the creation of compelling content is essential.

This position shall report to the Finance Officer.

Responsibilities:

Accounting:
  • Assisting in payroll for the India country office.
  • Time-sheet follow-up with employees.
  • Ensure the accuracy of project code, cost center, GL codes, etc.
  • Booking of GL accounts as and when needed
  • Review all Accounts payable invoices, Purchase orders, GRN, etc.
  • Maintenance of supporting documentation in Business World (BW) and Salesforce.
  • Ensure timely processing of travel claims.
  • Booking of General Ledger Journal entries as and when needed.
  • Recording of Vendor invoices in Business World (BW) and Salesforce.
  • Ensure payments are made to the employees and vendors within defined timelines.
  • On track with outstanding advances and timely liquidation.
  • Implement finance process to strengthen internal control.
  • Should be familiar with the various legal compliance applicable to the PATH India office.
  • Support in the process of bank payments.
  • Vendor creation and verification along with Bridger check and income tax compliance.
  • Any other related tasks as assigned from time to time.

Month-End Closure:
  • Work closely with the team to increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure advances are settled, GLs are reconciled, and follow up on any pending items if any.
  • Assist the Finance officer in the preparation of month-end reports.
  • GST reporting
  • TDS & TCS compliances
  • Any other related tasks as assigned from time to time.

Documents Management:
  • Ensure supporting documentation and secure to be easily retrievable.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current compliance standards and legislation.

Audits:
  • Support Finance officer in Various audits such as Statutory, Internal, and Donor Audits
  • Assistance in review of Fixed Asset of PATH India office.

Other:
  • Any other related tasks as assigned from time to time.

Required skills and experience:
  • Semi-qualified CA, Postgraduate in commerce with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • Knowledge of local laws of India and recent amendments.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, BW, and sales force.
  • Well-organized and attentive to details with good follow-through skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal skills in English is a must)
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
