Accountant

Our client is a leading FMCG multinational with wide operations across MENA region. Looking to hire a Accountant based in Dubai.

Overview:

The Accountant plays a critical role in our organization by ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial operations. They are responsible for maintaining financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide support for external and internal audits
• Handle tax-related tasks, including tax returns and tax compliance
• Contribute to the development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Assist in financial analysis and decision-making processes
• Manage and maintain accurate financial data and documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall organizational goals

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and practices
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience with financial reporting and financial analysis
• Understanding of tax regulations and compliance
