Accountant/Senior Accountant

Role - Accountant/Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
Record and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of balances.
Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Provide insights and explanations for variances in financial performance.
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support decision-making
Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits.
Respond to auditor inquiries and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Find opportunities for process improvements within the R2R process.
Implement changes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance.
Implement and supervise internal controls within the R2R process.

Experience/Skills Required:

Bachelors, or equivalent, in Accounting, CPA/CA preferred
5+ years of overall combined accounting experience, technology industry and Big 4 experience a plus
Experience in SOX control documentation / execution
Must be a self-starter, team player, and able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
Strong organizational and verbal / written communication skills
Demonstrated critical thinking capability
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must
Ability to identify and drive process improvement
Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities optimally in order to meet deadlines
