Disclaimer:
- The Senior Finance Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring that Finance and accounting activities meet the Corporation's objectives for accurate and timely reporting of its operating performance including compliance with Government law and Media Monks policies and procedures.
- As such, he/she will also be responsible for compliance with the minimum controls. In addition, he/ she will have responsibility for all Corporate, Tax, Legal and Treasury matters and coordination with external auditors and Corporate functions.
- The Senior Finance Manager will work closely with the APAC Finance team, Group Finance team in Netherlands and manage the outsourced provider in India.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Report to APAC CFO and provide overall financial/controllership leadership to the local finance team and the outsourced provider in India
- Drive monthly books closing and reporting with the outsourced provider and local finance team ensuring document filing for audit and scrutiny purposes
- Monthly review of the P&L and Balance Sheet and ensure account reconciliations of balance sheet items
- Managing and reviewing the output of the outsourced finance to be compliant to both government and corporate guidelines
- Budgeting, variance analysis and ledger scrutiny
- Maintaining effective internal controls to ensure continued control and protection of its assets, accurate reporting of its financial position, Tax Filings, and compliance.
- Support treasury & working capital management
- Continuous review of accounting process to ensure effectiveness of controls and strict compliance with DLA and company policies
- Working with consultants on deriving correct tax treatments for both direct and in-direct taxes
- Provide leadership and oversee statutory, tax and management reporting
- Ensure revenue and cost are recognized as per IFRS 15 guidelines with proper documentations in place
- Control and review of payables management, ensuring timely payment and dispute resolution
- Control account receivable processes including order management, invoicing, collections, credit control, outstanding bills review and recovery mechanisms
- Control and review of intercompany reconciliations
- Drives the fixed assets management and accounting process
- Ensure accuracy of monthly accruals
- Timely and accurate statutory payments and filings, such as TDS, GST, PF, ESI, PT, etc.
- Liaison with the auditors and ensures compliance with business processes, smooth administration, and financial management
- Leads planning and forecasting activities with internal and external business partners to achieve business and company goals
- Supervises local finance team employees, provides leadership to the team while fostering a positive culture of a growth mindset
- Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business
- Explore insourcing of outsourced providers
Education background/Qualifications:
- Post-Graduation degree in Finance and Accounting, or a related field; MBA in Finance, Certified Accountant/Chartered Accountant
Working experience:
- At least 12-15 years finance working experiences in service industry

- Be familiar with IGAP and IFRS standard practices especially in internal control
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Efficient self-organization skills to maintain high level of multi-tasking
- A proven track record in strong Finance leadership preferably gained in a multisite, multi-BU environment.
- Must have hands on style prepared to get involved in the detail and be compliance focused and data driven.
- Ability to work in a complex, highly matrixed environment, with remote corporate Finance policy guidance and direction.
- Taking full ownership and accountability of assigned tasks, activities and role
- Exposure to lean/ kaizen methodologies will be added advantage
