Job Location: Pune . Exp:- 4+ yrs. Education/Qualification: CA/ M.Com or equivalent Job Description: PnL Closing Activity Ensures that financial statements preparation, compliance reports and filings are as per Regulations, Accounting standards and guidelines. Ensure compliance to all reporting requirements, ensure monthly and quarterly book closing. Prepare and interpret operating results, analyze deviations vis a vis Budgets, coordinate with various team (RI, Actuarial, claims etc) to perform analysis and prepare reports to summarize financial data. Review of monthly analytical reports such as retention analysis, commissions analysis, expense analysis, etc. to identify exceptions, identify instability impacting the PnL and reasons for deviations to ensure proper closing of the company PnL IRDA BAP submission Ensure timely audit and certification from external chartered accountant of the BAP reports for the 29 lines of business BAP submission on IRDA prescribed formats for 29 lines of business INDAS Financials Coordinate with various sub-functions within Finance and gather relevant reports; Convert the IRDA financials into INDAS financials for Finserv consolidation purpose Refer to INDAS documents and seek inputs from external consultants to interpret and understand the financial impact of the various accounting standards and principles related to INDAS reporting. Coordinate with various sub-functions within Finance and gather relevant details for IFRS 17 project. Other activities Preparation of reinsurance MIS, Ageing analysis , payments, receipting. Review the public disclosures to be published on the company website on a quarterly basis to ensure accuracy and adherence to timelines Team development Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent at senior positions within the function Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance functional knowledge
