A well-established shipping startup with offices in Mumbai, Singapore and Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant to serve as the new Chartering Executive. The successful candidate will have experience with international relations, negotiations, and business development.

A well-established shipping startup with offices in Mumbai, Singapore and Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant to serve as the new Chartering Executive. The successful candidate will have experience with international relations, negotiations, and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all activities associated with the chartering of vessels and management of contract cargoes, as well as all necessary liaison with post fixture operational functions of the respective duties entrusted to him/her and vessel management of Bulk Carriers
- Formulate an annual business plan for the company that includes acquisition of new vessels
- Continuously monitor the developments in the shipping industry and take advantage of attractive trading opportunities as they emerge
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with market participants including brokers, owners, operators, shippers, receivers and freight traders
- Negotiate contracts in the best interests of the company, minimizing the company’s risk exposure as much as possible and drawing up income budgets for each respective vessel under his/her care
- Conduct quarterly periodic performance reviews of vessels under his/her responsibility and revise budgets where necessary in consultation with the Director, Commercial Division, while also liaising with Post Fixture staff to ensure all operational procedures are adhered to and payments are obtained accurately and on a timely basis.
