The Challenge
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing key financial accounting activities including preparation of monthly financial statements, half yearly and full year statutory accounts, taxation, and compliance reports.
While this is a fully-remote role, successful candidates are expected to be based in India. Demyst’s Finance team is based in Sydney, and the successful candidate will need to partially align to Australian Eastern Time (AET).

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision making.
Financial Controls and Compliance:
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct periodic audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Transactional Processing:
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Monthly SaaS Revenue Management:
- Lead the revenue recognition process for our SaaS products, ensuring adherence to IFRS 15 accounting standards and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast and analyze SaaS revenue.
Monthly forecasting and budgeting
- Assisting the Head of Finance with updating and maintaining monthly forecast and budget analysis
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
- CA or CPA qualified with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
- Essential experience in SaaS revenue management
- Proficiency in consolidations and financial systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced excel and financial modeling skills
