What You'll Do We are looking for a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in core accounting and financial reporting. The candidate is expected to handle day-to-day activities of accounting, assist in monthly reporting, variance analysis and be responsible for maintenance of fixed asset register. Job Duties Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, processing invoices, and preparing reconciliation statements Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures Analysis of budget vs actuals on a monthly basis Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits as per required laws and regulations Maintenance of fixed assets register and timely updation of the same Giving proper treatment of disposal of assets in books of accounts by calculating and accounting for the the profit / loss on sale What You'll Need to be Successful Chartered Accountant (2-3 years) or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (3-5 years) 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance Understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting processes Hands on expereine of Oracle Netsuite Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in accounting and revenue recognition with a fair understanding of global accounting Excellent organizational and time management skills Experience in handling internal and external audits Adaptability to change priorities and meet tight deadlines How We'll Take Care of You Total Rewards In addition to a great compensation package, paid time off, and paid parental leave, many Avalara employees are eligible for bonuses.
