Responsibilities
- Lead the finance team and all programs and processes for the effective functioning of the AMC
- All activities and exercises related to accounting & book closure
- All tax compliances (direct & indirect tax) & filings, Companies Act, applicable Labour Laws for AMC’s finances, SEBI & MCA compliances on Finance
- Audits - handling the Statutory & Internal Audits of the AMC functions
- Financial Planning - business planning & annual operating plans, MIS reports, financial analysis and due diligences, strategy and business finance
- Financials - P&L projections and management, cost control, capitalisation and net worth/capital adequacy
- Report to the shareholders and board of directors on the capital adequacy of the Company and business plans
- Manage day to day functioning of the AMC including processing payouts for business expenses
- Assist the COO on allocation and processing of various expenses in the AMC and Scheme’s books of accounts
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 5+ years of experience in the finance department of a leading AMC, PMS, wealth management firm
- Experience in accounting, audit, FP&A, financials
- Experience and knowledge about mutual fund operations and processes, AMC compliance & financial requirements
- Experience of audits and interacting & responding to queries from the regulator
- Deep relationships in the wealth industry and aware of evolving business & financial trends at AMCs, wealth firms and fintechs
- Experience building and leading teams in independent environments
