We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Financial Research (FinRes) group based in India. Depending on the candidate's location preference, the position is open for either of our Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Gurugram offices in India. The role involves working closely with analysts in the firm's Fundamental Equities (FE) team based in Singapore, covering the FIG sector across geographies.

What you'll do day-to-day

In this position, you will be responsible for providing coverage for specific companies in the FIG sector that are of interest to the group. You will track news flows and sell-side research views, cover results, support detailed modelling of company financials, and prepare investment write-ups/presentations. You will be expected to conduct indepth benchmarking of valuation and operational metrics (versus peer groups), sensitivity analysis, and scenario analysis. You will also need to collaborate closely with the front office team to iterate on financial models and investments. Furthermore, you will be expected to attend management, sell-side, intermediary, and sector expert calls, in addition to others.

Who we're looking for

  • The ideal candidate should have a degree in finance or equivalent (Master of Business Administration/Chartered Financial Analyst/Chartered Accountant), and over 5 years of investment research experience in the FIG sector.
  • Candidates with experience in international markets including the US financial sector will have an added advantage.
  • Candidate should have excellent equity research skills.
  • The candidate should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
