Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with CPA/CA certification and over 5-6 years of experience to join. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding new US clients in direct consultation with a Partner level US CPA, managing and overseeing our clients' financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our client's and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
Kick off the onboarding process with the end US client personnel. Understand their business, systems, policies and procedures and formulate a work calendar based on the agreed scope of services.
Handhold the team in India to execute on the work calendar and client priorities, namely:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and payments.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
Provide support to cross-functional teams on financial matters and contribute to strategic decision making processes.

Qualifications:

CPAs/CAs/EAs are desirable.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
5-6 years of progressive experience, out of which at least 3 years should be in handling foreign clientele.
Prior experience of communication (video and written English) with US/UK clients is a plus
Proficient in financial software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications
Strong knowledge of fundamentals of accounting
Interpersonal abilities and collaborative aƫtude
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
