Varex is establishing it's 13th Greenfield (GF) Manufacturing facility in Pune, India and is expected to be operational in 2025.

What are we looking for:

We are currently seeking an accomplished individual to assume the role of Finance Controller for our Varex India Entity, located in Pune. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of our exciting journey and make a meaningful contribution to our success.

As a Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in shaping our financial processes and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations. Your expertise will be crucial in creating exceptional new processes and executing them with precision and expertise. Reporting to the Corporate International Controller, this individual will be responsible for directing the accounting activities of the firm and regulatory reporting for the firm. The Controller is expected to provide insight and guidance into the fiscal function of Varex Imaging businesses and operations in India. As a key member of the management team, the Controller will manage the financial affairs to include accounting, financial reporting, and controls for the assigned entities.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee and ensure the accounting closure and financial reporting processes for India entities.
  • Oversee and ensure the complete and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) for India entities.
  • Oversee and ensure the complete and accurate preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with India GAAP for India entities.
  • Oversee the audit of the statutory audit for India entities.
  • Assist legal with governmental compliance filings.
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly income statement and balance sheet fluctuation analysis.
  • Coordinate with tax, treasury and legal to address various business requirements of the entities.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the operating budgets.
  • Monitoring variances, summarizing trends, and investigating budget deficiencies.
  • Develop performance measures and key metrics that help you and the executive management team monitor and evaluate business performance.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data.
  • Communication of monthly financial forecast including explanations of significant changes.
  • Revenue & gross margin analysis including standard costs analysis, productivity analysis and cost of product failure analysis.
  • Monitor and evaluate production jobs.
  • Supporting inventory costing and evaluation for inventory
  • Provide support to FP&A
  • Implement and oversee finance processes and ensure they are in accordance with Varex Imaging policies and internal controls.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives related to treasury, tax, statutory reporting, SOX, system conversion and other internal reporting matters.
  • Oversee SOX compliance for the location; strengthen internal controls and ensure the control environment is operating effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop finance and accounting teams to effectively partner with business that supports strategic direction of the company.
  • Lead ad hoc projects as needed.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment as a controller or senior accounting leader.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) Designation
  • Proficiency with India GAAP, U.S. GAAP or IFRS knowledge preferred.
  • Strong and verifiable accounting skills
  • Experience implementing or improving accounting systems and developing reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, recruit, motivate, coach, and develop a high performing team of professionals.
  • Experience working with SAP as ERP business system preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (written/ verbal and interpersonal)
  • Willingness to travel as per business needs.
